What is "Discount Detective"? Is there a "Discount Detective" or "StudentVIP" card needed? No. This isn't a card based programme -it's a directory for finding exisiting students discounts. Are all the discounts open to all students? Not necessarily - each listing tells you what ID is required. If it says "Your Student ID card" then any student can access that discount. If it requires a special card, the listing will tell you what is required. Can international students get these discounts? Yes - 99% are available to domestic or international students the same way. We even have a special section for discounts that international students would be most interested in. The only discount where international students are treated differently is the public transport (buses etc) discounts in most states. Can I report someone not honouring a published discount? Yes - if you find a discounter is now not offering the discount please report it to Yasmine Sometimes a staff member may not have been told about it (so you should ask "can you check with your manager") and sometimes a shop changes its policy.
